Personal Information

Ralf Schneider studied English, Romance Studies (Spanish and Italian) and Educational Science at the University of Cologne, where he received his PhD in 1999. He received his post-doctoral degree (Habilitation) from the University of Freiburg in 2004. From 2005 until 2019 he was Professor of British Literary and Cultural Studies at Bielefeld University and joined the Institute of English, American and Romance Studies (IfAAR) at RWTH Aachen University in Spring 2019 as Professor and Chair of English Literature.
He ist co-founder of the Aachen Centre for Cognitive and Empirical Literary Studies (ACCELS).
