Chris Brozdowski received his B.S. from the University of Connecticut, where he spent time working with James Magnuson, Marie Coppola and Diane Lillo-Martin, on various projects related to eyetracking, homesigner adverb production and ASL handshape phonology. Chris received his Ph.D. from San Diego State University and the University of California, San Diego. There, Chris worked in the Laboratory for Language and Cognitive Neuroscience, led by Karen Emmorey. Chris's research included spatial cognition, gesture production and models of language comprehension in American Sign Language users. Chris joined the Linguistics and Cognitive Semiotics department in October 2018 and will continue work on gesture production as it relates to sign language experience.
